Our second day was spent in the Perdana Botanical Garden and the huge expanse of lush topiary was a much welcomed change from the smokey streets of Thailand. Despite its location in the centre of Malaysia, you’d never know you were in the middle of a huge city thanks to the serenity of being surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife. There are many parts to it, such as the deer park and waterfall pond and it was lovely to spend a whole day walking around in the sunshine, taking it all in. It also hosts a Planetarium with a lookout tower so we spent some time acting like children (mainly because the air conditioning was so cold and refreshing!)
